What is the Beautiful Council?

The Beautification Council is a 501(c)3 micro cleaning and sanitization maintenance company committed to disrupting blight and homelessness, through our innovative job readiness program only hiring individuals unhoused and/or justice- impacted significantly addressing blight and illegal dumping.

How long has the Beautification Council been in operation?

In 2014, Ken Houston saw homelessness and blight as a state of emergency before it became an epidemic in 2016. The Beautification Council was established as a 501(c)3, by Ken Houston, in 2014 with a clear mission and passion to restore the quality of life and disrupt the cycles of blight and homelessness throughout the State of California, in communities adversely affected by illegal dumping, graffiti vandalism, and blight.

What is micro cleaning and sanitization?

The Beautification Council’s micro cleaning and sanitization is a 9-step proprietary cleaning process consisting of litter abatement , trash elimination, graffiti vandalism removal, illegal dumping extraction, and sanitizing with EPA-approved biodegradable agents to kill microorganisms.

What is a Micro Cleaning and Sanitization Expert (MCSE)?

The Micro Cleaning Sanitization Expert (MCSE) designation is granted by the Beautification Council to individuals that have been trained in the Beautification Council’s 9-step proprietary micro cleaning and sanitization process and have successfully completed all four levels of the required training process.

How do I volunteer?

The Beautification Council conducts several volunteer community clean up days, assisting communities with illegal dumping and beautification efforts at no cost. We welcome all volunteers with rolling up their sleeves and collective efforts with keeping California clean together. Does the Beautification Council have a youth program?

Yes. Our youth program is called “Back-to-Basics”, it is an experiential learning program where we expose them to nature and live animals. We teach the youth invaluable lesson about life, leadership, creativity, and how to be responsible keepers of the Earth.
